Working summer budgets for families: one cabin per family (2 adults + 2 kids), or one Airbnb whole house with 4+ bedrooms. Confirm who is coming, then check enough beds and the actual guest limit.

Start with self-contained cabins in one park: each family gets its own space, while the kids stay close and dinner is easy.
For Airbnb, choose an entire home with at least four bedrooms. The final headcount is still open. Four bedrooms is the minimum; a larger house may be needed once we know who is coming. Check actual beds, guest limits, bathrooms, dining seats and permission for all participating families.
Early January rates may sit outside these examples. No January 2027 availability or prices have been confirmed. Minimum stays, fees, bonds and cancellation terms need checking.

Cabin allowances
Each range is for one family cabin per night, assuming two adults and two children. Coastal ranges are our provisional summer planning allowances, not a verified January price survey. Kangaroo Valley’s range is informed by Glenmack’s published peak tariffs, including two children’s charges. Rates may fall outside these ranges.
The number of cabins needed depends on who comes. Adjoining cabins, guest surcharges, fees and minimum stays need checking directly.
Airbnb house allowances
Each range is for one entire home, with at least four bedrooms and enough permitted capacity for the confirmed group. These are budgets we propose for the search, not advertised prices for the example homes. Work out each family’s share once the participating families are confirmed.
The examples have 4–6 bedrooms and advertise at least 12 guests; that does not mean they will fit the final group. Bedroom counts and capacities were checked on 14 October 2026; beds, layout, adult limits and availability still need confirming.
Fees & short stays
Our figures exclude cleaning, service fees, taxes, extra-guest charges and refundable bonds. Airbnb’s selected-date total normally includes fees, so compare the total and check the price breakdown rather than adding fees twice.
A 2- or 3-night allowance does not mean the stay can be booked. On 14 October 2026, Seven Mile Beach showed no online availability for both options; Shoalhaven Heads displayed Meroo at $280/night with a 7-night minimum. Ask providers about short-stay options.
